Reflections on Obama's 100 Days

It's been awhile since I've posted here. I wanted to take some time to digest the changes that have taken place with the Obama administration. Recently, I've experienced a new feeling about the situation. Maybe it was the tea parties spontaneously presenting themselves across the country, perhaps it was the realization that this great country, built and refined two hundred years can't be torn down in a fortnight. I know the idea of freedom still has an uphill battle. I know we are still divided by race, class, religion, ethnicity and all those things that play right into the left's hands... yet still I feel hope.

I think the American public has woken up to the fact that the government is out of control. Individual rights are under attack from both parties and up till now we haven't had an alternative, or someone in either party we could trust to scale back the beast. I think that figure will begin to emerge in the next few months or couple of years. I think Americans of all stripes still share those common values: Freedom, Independence, and Limited Government. I have hope, hope we can take this country back!
